In 2022, the District engaged Balance Hydrologics to undertake a water availability analysis (WAA) of the East Fork Russian River which was later expanded to include the West Fork Russian River. Project tasks included data review, surplus flow analysis, modeling, and preparation of technical summaries. Balance Hydrologics coordinated closely with Sonoma Water in data collection and sharing, as well as modeling.
As of early 2023, the WAA is being finalized by Balance Hydrologics.
